Parallel Universe

"Dude, you need to get up to speed here. You've been stuck as this chick, Cara, for, like, at least two months now. You're going to have to deal with the fact that we might not get another chance to revert to our original lives any time soon. Just look around you. This is your room in this universe. This is the consequence of sneaking into the lab. We fucked up, okay? You need to grow up and get a reality check."

"I just don't know what to do," Charles began to cry, "I can't do this. I'm just holding on to what I can -to what's left in our memories."

"Look. You know I love you, man. We've been best friends for a long time. You need to try to adjust yourself instead of acting like a total prick about it. Yes, we're girls now. We're living on the other side of town with different families. But you have to keep in mind that no matter what, the families and friends we know and love are still back there in our world, and they still love us. We're like carbon copies of our parallel selves now. That's you right there," Gabe pointed his finger at Charles, "You've always been Cara here."

After a moment of silent reflection, 'Cara' uttered, "I love you too, Abby," The girl's eyes shot up in an arresting glance.

Abby leaned over and embraced Cara in a passionate kiss, "Let's just see this through, okay? We have to stick together."
