Time Traveler

Dylan had gone through a nasty breakup with his girlfriend of half a year, Gwen, just over a month ago. He was feeling all sorts of regret and anguish. He wished things didn't have to come to this, but alas, there he sat, coddling a tall beer and thinking about how he could make his situation better. The truth was that he should've broken up with her long before instead of subjecting himself to this misery he was feeling.

Dylan had just received a book of spells as a joke by one of his friends for his birthday shortly after the breakup . He eyed the book tentatively before picking it up off the shelf. He peeled the pages open one by one, glancing over the various spells. He came upon an interesting spell about time travel and righting past wrongs. Dylan chuckled to himself, smirking at the peculiar relevancy of the entry. He would certainly enjoy going back in time to avoid the relationship altogether. Not expecting anything to happen, he read the spell aloud.

It felt like a dream -Gwen had just finished breakfast and had to catch up on some reading for the next day. She walked through her little apartment to her desk and proceeded to pull out the chair. Only, when she grabbed the chair, her hand looked different. She couldn't quite place it, but it looked foreign to her. It was so feminine, but that shouldn't have bothered her. She turned to look in the mirror. She wasn't supposed to be Gwen at all!

Dylan was short of breath and took a step back. Why did he look like Gwen? What time was it? He ran back to the desk to check the calendar. To his horror, the date Gwen had marked off was mere days before they had started dating! His eyes darted down at Gwen's petite form. He didn't think that the spell would actually work, and yet, there he stood. Dylan had become Gwen.

He nervously felt up the body that he had come to know so well. She was still beautiful, regardless of personality. Something about it really started to turn him on. Now he could do whatever he wanted with her, at least for the moment. Dylan wanted the spell book so that he could time travel as himself instead.

But his friend wouldn't give him the spell book again for many months. How was he going to get it from his future self if he and Gwen never started dating? Dylan could only see one solution, and it wasn't ideal.
