"I'm excited about this! We're actually going to be able to go back in time to when we were in high school!"
"Yeah, it's crazy. And for a whole year, too. I don't know if I'm prepared for this."
"Don't worry, sis. We'll just return to this exact time when the year has passed. It'll be like nothing ever happened."
The time machine whirred, as the siblings' father pulled the lever, "See you on the other side, kids!"
Then, silence.
Joel awoke in his bed, still groggy from the events that had transpired. He slowly pealed open his eyes, revealing ...Cassy's room? He didn't remember ever having slept in Cassy's bed. Why would he ever have done that?
"What the–" Joel hesitated upon hearing his voice, "...fuck?"
Long hair fell on his shoulders. Long hair?! His shoulders looked weirdly feminine. Was that... Was that a bra strap? Something was terribly wrong. Joel's heart started pounding. He pulled of the rest of the blanket, and there it was. An unmistakably female body. A pair of modest breasts nestled in a simple white bra.
Shaking, Joel stumbled to Cassy's mirror. There she was. Teenage Cassy.
"Oh my fucking God."
