Pillow Talk - Part 5

"What do you think?" Gabe twirled around playfully in one of Mary's evening dresses.

"You look ...hot."

"Fuckable?"

"Y–yeah," Michael stuttered.

Gabe smirked, "I agree. Sucks for you though, cause I'm not letting you have a piece of any of this. Mary is all mine."

"Mmhm."

"So," Gabe continued in his best Mary-voice, "Are we heading out now or what?"

Later, at the restaurant...

"You know, this is pretty romantic," Michael tested.

"Yeah, I would love to go on a date here sometime with a future girlfriend," Gabe mused.

"Gabe," Michael leaned in, "Look at us. We are a couple on a date."

"Michael..."

Michael held Tom's ring finger up next to Mary's, "Gabe..."

Gabe turned to observe some of the other restaurant guests. Most of them were couples.

He found himself comparing themselves to the other couples. Not a whole lot of them were married, but Mary and Tom were.

He started to compare himself to the other women. How did he look compared to them? Was he feeling ...competitive?

They all looked so in love ...so flirtatious. He and Michael were so stiff in comparison. Gabe even felt a bit self-conscious about it. Why?

It seemed Michael was having similar thoughts, "Hey, we should just try to enjoy this like those other couples, okay? No one cares who we really are."

"Yeah, you're right," Gabe said sheepishly, "I'll try to relax."

Gabe let out a nervous breath, transforming his stiff complexion into that of a happy and laid back Mary.

The waitress came up to their table, "What would you like to order tonight?"

"I'll have the steak," Michael announced, "And my beautiful wife here will have the salad."

"Alright, I'll be back in a bit," she left, rolling her eyes.

"Michael!" Gabe laughed, wide eyed, "That was so embarrassing."
