Request for help

Hey, it's me! I've noticed my posts aren't getting as many views or comments lately. One fan wrote me directly, complaining about Blogger's new limitations of blogs with adult content. Namely, that Blogger now requires visitors to log in in order to view posts.

I am therefore seriously considering migrating my blog to another, more open platform with higher engagement, such as DeviantArt. I am open to suggestions.

I have no idea how I could migrate all of my posts to DeviantArt, and I would greatly appreciate some assistance on that front.

Again, I'm open to suggestions. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Worst case, I might have to shut down the blog. Though, not before posting the full post archive for all to download...

  1. Please do not shut down. I am fan of your work . I am just terrible at leaving comments. I might leave a comment on 1 out of every 300 - 400 hundred caps that I read . I am sorry I am just bad that way. but as for the lack of views it might be something to do with notifications. as I often do not see that you have a new post for 3- 5 days after the post

  2. I would hate to see the blog go, I'm not one for comments so I apologise but do enjoy your work. If you do want to change platforms, I wouldn't complain but I would appreciate access to your blog

  3. how much would cost if you buy a page, like bodyswapfiction and support with koffee donations? You could still write here, and the stories that blogger block here, won´t matter, cause you still write on your own page. and, to save all the posts, on settings, you search on blog management, there is a option to back up content of the page, try this

  5. You should definitely keep posting to your blogger while you post on to DeviantArt. Some people don't like how DeviantArt is laid out. It'll be a pain, though. When I migrated to DeviantArt (I ran into the same issue as you), I had to post submissions one by one. Thankfully, I wasn't that far into my Blogger career at that point, so I had at most maybe only 50 posts. You're going to have to go post by post to manually submit to DeviantArt.

The good news is that the TG community on there is very active. You can even post your blogger link in each DeviantArt post to help bring traffic over.

  6. I think you're exaggerating. If you're only looking for donations or feedback, you should ask for it. But all bloggers have been dealing with this for months. Rather, I believe that the lack of comments is mainly due to the readers, not the authors. We have traffic, but no one comments.

    1. It's definitely readers but I'd say it's a bit of both too. I think something interactive with viewers tends to get comments, and people thinking rather than listening.

  8. In my opinion, DA is far more difficult to navigate and your more likely to lose viewers than gain them. Hang tough and rest assured that views and comments will pick up again.

  9. DA isn't a bad choice: same shit with image and text in description 😉

  10. DA is actually very simple to use. and you should have little issue moving your collection of works over if that is something you chose to do. I'd be happy to help if you want it. Love your work and stories. Always have.
