Mommy Mayhem - Part 9

Theo peeled open his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief. He was overjoyed! He was back in his older mother's body. He was about to jump up in excitement, when he realized something was definitely amiss.

He didn't recognize this house at all. But there were framed photos of his parents' wedding ... no that wasn't his father... that kind of looked like the boy he had dated when he was in his mother's younger body. This was not good!

He bolted out of the room in a panic. He had to go to his mom and fix this!

But when he entered the living room, he just saw a blonde girl sitting and scrolling on her phone. He didn't recognize her at all... although she looked somewhat similar to his mother when she was younger.

The girl looked up and smiled, "Hey Miranda, honey, or shall I say Mom? You know, I was just thinking, would you want to swap back later today?"

"Swap back?" Theo gulped –he had no idea who this girl was.

"Uh, yeah?" the girl laughed, "Are you feeling alright, honey? Don't you think it's time we put this little mother-daughter body swapping experiment to rest?"

"Daughter??" Theo thought to himself.

Theo was in shock. He had gone back too far into the past and changed his own timeline. His mother married the boy he had dated, and now they had a daughter together –Miranda.

He stood there for a few moments, trying to comprehend what this meant for him and his future. Did he exist in this timeline? Was he even born?

Theo had three choices: He could swap back with his mother in this girl's body and accept this version of reality. He could go back in time, become his younger mother again and try to make things right. Or, he could cast another spell to make his mother forget all about this and live out the rest of his life as is.
