“Wait. It might have something to do with this rock I found. I felt a surge of energy when I touched it. Maybe it caused all of this,” Thomas suggested.
They both reached for the rock at the same time, their hands brushing against each other. But nothing happened when they touched it.
Bella frowned in disappointment, "It doesn't seem to be reacting now. Maybe it only works once?”
Thomas - now in Bella's body - nodded slowly, deep in thought, "Maybe it’s like a Freaky Friday thing."
Bella's eyes widened at the realization, "We have to figure out how to switch back before anyone notices."
Thomas gulped as he looked down at his new girly body. But then he felt a mix of excitement and apprehension at the realization that he was now in possession of the body he had long envied. He glanced down at the slender limbs and delicate features that once belonged to his sister. For once, he could experience life through the Bella’s eyes. Maybe this body swap was a blessing in disguise…
But he couldn’t let Bella know that, of course.
They spent hours scouring the internet for any information on the mysterious rock without any luck.
Bella yawned, “I'm exhausted, Thomas. Let’s get some rest and start fresh in the morning.”
“Do I go to your room…?” Thomas hesitated, unsure of where he was supposed to sleep in Bella's body.
They both realized the awkwardness of the situation and shared a nervous chuckle.
"I guess it would be weird for us to sleep in our old rooms, if we’re in each others’ bodies," Bella said, “Mom and Dad would be very confused.”
Thomas - now in Bella's body - nodded in agreement, feeling a strange mix of nerves and excitement about spending the night in his sister's room.
As they made their way to their respective rooms, he couldn't help but notice the strange sensation of wearing Bella's clothes and feeling the lightness of her steps. It was a stark contrast to his usual heavy stride.
He shut the door behind him, “Fuck, yes!”
