For the Camera - Part 2

James laughed nervously, trying to buy himself some time.

"Oh Cindy, you're terrible," he said, "I think I need a drink after all that excitement. Why don't we head to the bar?"

He hoped a change of scenery might give him an opportunity to slip away and figure out how to end this possession.

As they made their way to the resort's beachside bar, James frantically tried to come up with a plan. He needed to get away from Frank and Cindy long enough to figure out how to reverse the necklace's magic.

But as they started walking, Frank's arm was still draped around him. He was trapped. The warm tropical air and the sound of crashing waves only heightened his anxiety.

"What'll it be, honey?" Frank asked as they approached the bar, "Your usual mai tai?"

James hesitated, realizing he had no idea what Amy's usual drink was, "Oh, uh, yes, please."

James sipped the mai tai nervously, the sweet tropical flavors doing little to calm his nerves. He scanned the bar area, looking for any opportunity to escape.

"So, what should we do next?" Cindy asked, sipping her own brightly colored drink. "I was thinking we could hit the beach for a bit of sunbathing."

James felt a wave of panic. Sunbathing meant swimsuits, and he wasn't ready to see – let alone expose – more of Amy's body than he already had.

But Frank and his father, George, quickly agreed.

"Sounds perfect," Frank said, finishing his beer, "I could use some sun. What do you think, honey?"

James felt trapped. He couldn't think of a good excuse to avoid the beach without raising suspicion.

"Um, sure," he replied hesitantly, "Just let me run to the room first to change and grab some sunscreen."

"Good idea," Cindy said, "We'll meet you down there in 15 minutes."
