A Second Chance - Part 3

I glanced around the unfamiliar room for clues on what Kathy might wear. The closet door stood ajar, revealing a neat line of clothes hanging inside. It felt surreal, rifling through a life that wasn’t mine. I rummaged through the garments, my fingers brushing against soft fabrics —dresses, blouses, jeans. I pulled out a pair of jeans first.

As I struggled to button up the tight jeans, I couldn't help but marvel at how different my body felt. The weight of breasts on my chest, the soft curves of my hips and butt. The jeans fit snugly, the fabric sitting flat against my crotch.

I looked in the mirror again, my new face staring back at me. Kathy's features were delicate and pretty, a distinct departure from my own, with a small nose and full lips.

I turned away from the mirror, feeling a sense of unease settle in the pit of my stomach. How was this even possible? How could I be in someone else's body?

Now I needed a top. But first, …a bra. My heart leapt. I knew that meant I had to go topless. I was going to see my neighbor topless. I nervously looked over at Sarah for her blessing, but she was far too busy getting dressed in Allan’s body.

I nervously pulled off the shirt Kathy had worn to bed, fully exposing her breasts. I couldn’t believe those were mine. I stared at them, entranced and bewildered by the sight—soft and round.

This was really happening. I was really in someone else's body.

I then grabbed the nearest bra from a pile on the dresser — a simple black lace number— and fumbled awkwardly with the clasps behind my back.

I rummaged back through the closet, my heart racing as I selected a loose t-shirt that seemed both casual and comfortable. I noticed Sarah had chosen a classic button up shirt.

"You're wearing a bra," Sarah whispered, her eyes wide as she took in my appearance.

I nodded, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks, "Yeah, I... I had to. It felt weird not to."

Sarah swallowed hard, her gaze lingering on my chest before snapping back to my face, "Right. Of course."

“What do we do about Lily?” she asked, her voice a mix of urgency and anxiety.

“Just… act normal? I guess?” I replied, pulling the simple t-shirt over my head, “We can take her to the park, maybe buy her ice cream or something.”

Lily's eyes sparkled with delight as she jumped up and down, oblivious to the chaos surrounding us, “Yay! I can get my shoes! You promised we could go to the playground, too!”

“Right,” I said, forcing a smile that felt strange on Kathy’s lips, “You do that, Lily. We’ll be right here.”

As she dashed off to gather her things, I turned back to Sarah, who was still looking at me with wide eyes filled with panic and also a hint of amusement.
