Play Date - Part 7

"Hey, assholes," Abby huffed as she passed Jack and Julia by the pool, "It's been a whole week. When are you going to switch back?"

"Soon, Abby," Julia said in Jack's voice, "We just need a little more time."

Jack nodded, twirling a strand of Julia's long hair around his finger, "Yeah, we're still... learning things."

Abby rolled her eyes, "Learning things? Like what? Like how to pee standing up?"

Julia blushed, Jack's cheeks turning red, "Among other things..."

"Gross," Abby muttered, "Look, Mom and Dad are starting to get suspicious. Jack - I mean, Julia - you've been acting weird at home.”

“Oh, quit complaining, Abby,” Jack protested, “You get to spend every single day with your best friend now. How awesome is that?”

"And what are you doing when you're alone in my best friend’s body, Jack?" Abby asked pointedly, raising an eyebrow, "I'm not an idiot. This whole situation is getting out of hand."

Jack felt his face flush hot with embarrassment. He averted his gaze, unable to meet Abby's accusatory stare.

"Look, we'll switch back soon," Julia interjected, trying to diffuse the tension, "We promise."

Abby sighed, shaking her head, "It’s only been a week, and I’ve lost my best friend and my brother…"
