Starting Fresh - Part 3

The dark, endless ribbon of asphalt sliced through the midnight fog as their sedan cruised down the coast. The heater hummed softly, filling the sealed cabin with a thick, cozy warmth. On the center console sat the empty glass vial—the tincture had already been swallowed, seeping into their bloodstreams. Neither knew the exact hour or mileage marker when the threshold would be crossed, turning every passing mile into a ticking clock of suspense.

Marie leaned her head back against the passenger headrest, her long, dark hair spread over her shoulders. She turned her head, her dark eyes glittering in the faint amber glow of the dashboard lights, watching her son drive.

"You're quiet," she murmured, her velvety tone rich and relaxed.

"My heart's pounding out of my chest," Jake admitted, his knuckles white on the steering wheel as he anticipated the slow process. "I keep waiting for it to kick off."

Marie chuckled softly, a low, throaty sound. "It’s not a violent shift, sweetie. It’s a slow, liquid process."
"What do you mean?"

"I mean," Marie said, shifting in her seat, unbuttoning her coat so her fitted top clung softly to her curves, "you've lived in a teenage male body your whole life. You have no idea what it feels like to inhabit a woman like me. And if you're going to carry my body in public, you need to understand the mechanics."
Jake’s throat went dry. "Mom..."

"There's no room for shame now, Jake," she insisted smoothly, her voice completely shameless, instruction blurring into teasing intimacy. "Take my chest, for instance. You're used to a flat, light torso. Within a few hours, you're going to feel the heavy, warm pull of my breasts against your ribs. They aren't subtle. Every time you take a step, every time you breathe, you're going to feel them bounce and shift. You have to carry your shoulders back, or your upper back will ache."

Jake swallowed hard, his face burning crimson under the dashboard lights. The explicit sensory details were overwhelming, spellbinding.

"And then there's the rest," she continued softly, dropping her voice an octave, tracing her own tapered waist toward her wide hips. "My center of gravity sits low. When you walk naturally, your thighs touch, your hips sway. And down between your legs... it's a completely different world. No outward pressure that reacts to every mood. Just a soft, warm sensitivity to every touch, every fabric."

"God," Jake gasped out, his hands trembling slightly on the wheel. "You're really layin' it all out there."
"I have to," she whispered, looking across the console with an electric smirk. "Because in a little while, those nerve endings will be yours. Your mind will be the one feeling every flush of arousal. I'm giving you the keys to a full-grown, beautiful woman's body. You better be ready to drive it."

Jake clutched the steering wheel, his mind racing wildly as the dark road stretched ahead into the ocean fog.
